Spurs Summer Transfer Window Day 43

Spurs Summer Transfer Window Day 43

Now we are not going to argue with another independent survey are we.

Good morning folks, it will be a quick Spurs Summer Transfer Window Day 43 article today.

Social Media frauds, there are stacks of them and I came across one yesterday, regurgitating information, that is in fact incorrect and then trying to justify it with more incorrect information.

Basically it is down to research. This chap, has to be a chap doesn't it, claims in his handle that he is ITK, not something I do and his bio says he is a freelance journalist.

The thing is any genuine freelance journalist would have their name in the bio, they wouldn't hide their identity and hide behind an avatar either.

They tripped over themselves.

The trouble is social media is all about noise.

Whichever opinion shouts the loudest and gains most traction must be right and if Fabrizio Romano or Alasdair Gold repeat it then it must be genuine, alas not true.

Social media survives on people repeating what other people say. You only have to look at a piece of news and it is copied word for word by a ton of bot accounts all set up to harvest tweets containing certain words or direct from certain accounts.

They are automated.

This is picked up by those who wish to deliver information to you but not research it.

There opinion is formed over noise rather than the veracity of the content.

It's better to formulate your opinion from accounts that at least research the information and don't follow noise as being gospel, our intrepid 'freelance journalist' needs to do a bit more journalistic research.

Right, Tottenham news.

Spurs Summer Transfer Window Day 43

Rangers vs Spurs

Japhet Tanganga IS NOT in the squad for the Glasgow Rangers game at Ibrox, along with outcasts, Giovanni Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilón.

Remember Antonio Conte saying in a press conference how important Harry Winks was, that you could rely on him?

Further goes to show that you can't just take what is said in the media as gospel, that much of it is simply PR, like Milan Škriniar giving an interviews and saying he doesn't want to leave Inter, only to quickly agree a deal with PSG, which fell through because Inter kept demanding more money.

You have to look at everything and question it, look at surrounding matters to get a bigger picture evaluation before you can go down one particular route with your opinion.

That's what I do.

It's like Daniel Levy discussing the payment structure of two deals portrayed as negotiating transfer fees, which Fabio Paratici has already agreed.

Our intrepid freelance journalist claim Levy was negotiating the fee and thus had to give in and agree what Middlesbrough wanted all along.

Well Middlesbrough wanted £30m, that's not general knowledge, that isn't part of the noise.

Spurs are paying £18m with £12.5m being up front, that isn't anywhere near where Steve Gibson tried to move the goalposts to, he wanted a 25% sell-on clause as well which he didn't get.

The intrepid freelance ITK journalist ought to know this.

I reported a few days ago Paratici was meeting on Thursday with AC Milan and everyone caught up with that news since.

Gianluca Di Marzio is the man to follow for Spurs news (great friend of Paratici) and he tells us that Tanguy Ndombele was discussed, as AC Milan have missed out on Renato Sanches of Lille it seems.

Also discussed was Sergio Reguilón and of course, Japhet Tanganga.

Two days ago in Spurs Summer Transfer Window Day 41 I explained about the two squads we are building, one for the Premier League and one for the UEFA Champions League.

They have different criteria and while we have 3 non-homegrown places available in the squad for the Premier League, we have none in the UEFA Champions League until we move on Joe Rodon.

Nobody is gong to sign for us if they can't play in the Champions League are they, it's the competition everyone wants to play in.

That was without including Giovanni Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Sergio Reguilón, Bryan Gil or Pape Matar Sarr.

It doesn't take a genius to work out Spurs need to move players on and such reports aren't word from the club, however they are painted by journalists, it is simply plain common sense.

They are all still drawing a wage for doing nothing, so not much change there for Tanguy Ndombele then.

Clubs know we have to sell and are only interested in giving us low ball offers or taking players on loan and all that does is delay our problem of shifting them for a season while we also part pay their wages.

For instance, clubs only want to pay us £15m for Giovanni Lo Celso, yet bench warmer Kulusevski cost more than that and he was a player in a similar situation at Juventus, although he played a bit more.

While clubs are waiting for us to reduce our price, we are waiting to see if any better offers of a permanent deal come in rather than option to buy deals.

Something will have to happen so you can expect another lull in purchases until sales are made and spots become available in our Champions League squad, unless they are a promising youngster or a English Association trained homegrown player.
