Summer Revival: Ange's Rebuild On Track

Postecoglou Track Repair

Last summer, the Spurs tracks underwent a transformation with Ange at the helm.

Micky Van der Ven, Guglielmo Vicario guarding our goal, and Destiny Udogie returning from loan marked the new era, aided by a new conductor James Maddison.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr, the midfield maestros, tinkered in the depot worksheds, laying the foundation for a dynamic new midfield engine.

Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski earned permanent tickets after successful loan spells, showcasing the clubs strategic eye.

Son's Switch and Richarlison's Resurgence

The Spurs locomotive witnessed tactical shifts with Son leading the line.

From centre-forward to wing, his adaptability shines. Meanwhile, Richarlison, a versatile force, initially huffed and puffed with little forward motion. It was all an uphill task.

Surgery acted as a pit stop, propelling him into the limelight as a more prolific centre-forward.

Goals flowed, and the Spurs faithful cheered as the Richarlison Express thunders down the tracks.

New Arrival: Brennan Johnson

A new passenger boarded our journey - Brennan Johnson. The young talent adds flair to our offensive carriages, and we're eager to see him shine in Lilywhite.

Promising beginnings, he needs to work on his points in front of goal, where he comes off the track.

The January Junction: Timo Werner

Now, the January Transfer Express barrels forward with news of negotiations for German engine Timo Werner.

Once a sought-after striker at Stuttgart, the next big thing in German football had a stint at Chelsea where he hit the brakes.

However, a rekindling in Germany at RB Leipzig, renown for developing young talent, signals a chance for redemption.

Ange's data-driven approach points to a sensible move - a 5-month loan with an option to buy for €15-20 million (£12.92-17.22m) if reports are accurate from the German scribes.

It's a far cry from his highest market valuation of €80 million (£68.89m) in 2020, like Richarlison in reverse. The Brazilian forward is now valued at €35 million (£30.14m) down from €65 million (£55.97m) also in 2020.

THBN SIDE NOTE: Richarlison purchased for €58 million (£49.94m) plus add-ons, which may not be payable with the poor start he made. Hence why you include as much as you can in add-ons.

The German international marksman (57 caps, 24 goals, 6 assists) rejected the overtures of Ten Hag's Manchester United hauler to opt for our Lilywhite Locomotive.

Werner's numbers this season may not sparkle, but injuries and limited playtime tell only part of the story.

A speedster with a commendable assist record, Werner's work ethic aligns with Ange's ethos.

Our medical staff are set to give their "Fitness to Run" examination before the Spurs gaffer is poised to unleash Werner's potential, making this a strategic pit stop for our forward line.

Incidentally, Steffen Freund (ex-Spurs midfielder) was his German U-16 manager and Christian Ziege (ex-Spurs defender) his German U-19 manager.

Werner will have sought their advice, particularly Freund who Tottenham use as a scout in Germany where he is now a commentator/expert.
