Troy Parrott has had a good pre-season tour with Spurs
Thanks to Totalthfc for the still from their video.

Good morning folks. It's 7:40 in the morning, all the windows are open and I'm still drenched despite a nice breeze. The sun hasn't broken through yet but it certainly has for Troy Parrott.

Pre-season was and is an important time for the younger players and it has been good to see them on the field and have a look at what we have got.

Oliver Skipp

Quite why our own fans were complaining about Oliver Skipp last season goodness knows, obviously don't understand much about player development. The 18-year-old (19 in September)looked the part against Manchester United and is clearly showing signs of progress.

Troy Parrott

Troy Parrott has probably been the one player to grab his chance with both hands. He hasn't scored, but it was his shot that led to Erik Lamela'sgoalagainst Juventus. If you haven't seen the video of his performance then my previous post;

Below you'll find the video of his performance vs Manchester United. Thanks to Totalthfc for the video.

Kyle Walker-Peters

In my view, he has done nothing in the two games so far to advance his claims.

A full-back has to be an attacking threat and Walker-Peters isn't. He never looks like beating a man one-on-one, he doesn't possess the speed over the first 5 yards to push the ball past and go, once he has stopped his man.

His crossing against Man U was poor and when he did have space to cross the ball h took too long and hit the first man.

It is an area he needs to work on if he is to make it and I am not seeing any improvement at the moment. My fear is that he has limitations and isn't going to get to the level we need him to be at to win the Premier League.

It is a potential area of weakness this season.

His benefit to the squad is that he is homegrown but he was 21 on 1 January so still doesn't have to be named as a homegrown player. He smacks of being another Kyle Naughton to me.

Sentiment has no place in football, ruthlessness does. Willmore games see him improve, will we use Juan Foyth there a lot or will we buy?
