TRANSFER TALK

We have a Dembélé, in our ranks so we get linked with every other Dembélé, now we have a Llorente, we immediately get linked with another.

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal are among a host of clubs that are reported by the Spanish media as having a close interest in 21-year-old (22 next January) Real Madrid defensive midfielder Marcos Llorente. The news from Spanish daily newspaper Marca is that Real Madrid will review his position again in January and that Llorente is keen on getting more game time.

Llorente is no relation to Fernando, however there is football in his blood. Marcos Llorente is the son of former Real Madrid and Spanish international winger Paco Llorente (Retired) and the nephew of former defender Tenerife and Real Madrid Julio Llorente Gento (Retired).

The Spanish Under-21 international (he has 8 caps) went on loan to Alavés (based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Álava, in the autonomous community of the Basque Country) and started 36 games for them.

The right-footed, Nike sponsored (Nike Tiempo Legend VII FG shoes) starlet is under contract until next summer so it is an important season for his future.

Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have all linked with him and are no doubt still following his progress. Few youngsters escape the gaze of clubs these days.. It is claimed that Zinidine Zidane wants to keep him and rejected 20 offers for him.
