Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City scouted Ante Ćorić news

TRANSFER TALK

Plenty of clubs have been chasing Croatian youngster Ante Ćorić for some years now but he has turned down a host of big clubs because he wants to go straight into their first-team and be a regular.

No side as yet, has thought he is that good. Manchester City tried to buy him last summer and it was the same old story, they immediately wanted to loan him out to a side in Spain, he wasn't interested in being loaned out. Real Madrid have tried, Bayern Munich, Porto, PSG, Inter Milan have all also tried and failed, not because of his club but because of his decisions.

The 20-year-old (21 next April) Dynamo Zagreb attacking midfielder has an attitude problem and has been dropped by his coach for lack of effort in training and there are plenty of reports that that has continued through the season. Ćorić is talented, of that there is no doubt, but mentality he hasn't shown the application it takes to keep moving up the performance levels. Perhaps he thinks he has already made it.

Tottenham, Manchester City, WBA, Newcastle United, Sampdoria, Roma, Lille and Mainz with, depending upon which report you read, Sampdoria leading the way. The piece in the link seems to suggest that Ćorić doesn't like to be told how to play or play in a restrictive system, that he wants the freedom to do what he wants. If that is the case then he wouldn't fit in at Spurs under Pochettino.
