TRANSFER TALK

Thirty-three scouts recently attended a Bury game only to find that 17-year-old (18 next March) Callum Styles was unavailable for selection. His claim to fame is that he is the first player born in the 21st century to sign a professional contract.  The League One football club will thus be guaranteed a transfer fee when he eventually moves on.

Being told there's 33 scouts in attendance tonight. They'll be leaving very disappointed if they've come to watch young Styles.

Styles is an English-born attacking midfielder who has now made 11 League One appearances totalling 790 minutes, in which he has provided 2 assists. He signed a two-and-a-half year deal after being a youth prospect at Burnley. Styles joined Bury in March 2016 after being released by the Lancashire side.

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Everton, Manchester United, and Arsenal have all sent scouts to see him so you can rest assured we have too, presumably David Pleat.
