No bid yet, but have Spurs held discussions over Kessie?

TRANSFER TALK

Sky Sport Italia journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio, has revealed that conversations have already taken place Between Premier League clubs and Luca Percassi, the son of Atlanta club president Antonio Percassi.

The discussions concern 19-year-old (20 later this month) Ivorian defensive midfielder Franck Kessie, who has 6 goals (he tales penalties) and 2 assists in 14 games and is under contract until 2021. Both Goal and FourFourTwo have labelled him the new Yaya Toure. He scored four times in his first three games in Italy and is very highly though, Atlanta believe has that little bit extra quality.

Spurs, Arsenal, Leicester and WBA are all said to have had discussions over a possible move during one of the many trips Luca Percassi has made to London. Di Marzio reports that Tottenham are the biggest club and therefore the most likely English destination, but that Juventus have been a long admirer of the youngster. he is also being sought by Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli.

Someone has aired a figure of £19.39 million (€23m - AUS$32.67m - US$24.42m) fee, but that may well be just a journalistic guess. The Transfermarkt algorithm has him at £6.38 million (€7.57m - AUS$10.75m - US$8.03m).

It seems HITC have decided this is an actual offer we have made but the report from the Sky reporter for Italy, Gianluca Di Marzio, is very clear that this is not the case, it is just an estimated figure of what he may be worth.
