SPURS vs BAYER LEVERKUSENMost fans don't see that it makes any difference, but Mauricio Pochettino made it clear at his pre-game press conference that the tiny things matter is preparation for a game. All the off-field stuff has an impact, the parking, the route to take, where friends and family are, where the singing fans are, the changing rooms, everything.
This time around the players haven't got to process new information, they have had the experience and taken it on board. Now that is all out of the way the performance should improve, that is his hope anyway.
Nobody knows how the players will react. It is another of the mental tests, which last season they handled very well until the final few games. The pressure is on right now and if we can get through the first press from the German side we have a chance to hurt them. Pochettino will be looking to see that we do that. It should be another fascinating game.
