Adebayor back to Tottenham?

TRANSFER TALK

I mentioned it a few times during the transfer window, the Italian press are worse than the British press when it comes to transfer relating to Premier League clubs. They have no perception of what has happened at a club or why.

The result is some really daft stories and their latest one is Tottenham are considering bringing back Emmanuel Adebayor to the club on a free transfer!

This is the guy who held the club, who refused moves to stay and pick up his wages knowing he wouldn't be playing football, who knew he wouldn't be named in the official squad submitted to the Premier League and thus ineligible to play Premier League games, who was not given a shirt number.

This is the same guy who gave an interview to tell us he wasn't motivated by money. If you watched him during that interview, watched his body language, watched his eyes, you could tell it wasn't entirely accurate shall we say.

Who has come up with this hair brained idea? An exclusive from Tutto Mercato Web.

They suggest we want to offer him a performance related contract and that we have already been in touch with him.

Can you imagine the uproar from Spurs fans if he were to return to the club.

  1. We could arrange a double signing of him and the name that can't be spoken. Him and that Judas looney would be an excellent acquisition for letting off guilt free stress. COYS!

  3. He's a proven goal scorer with pace, movement.... sorry, I can't keep that up. What a bizarre story. I hope he doesn't even visit.
