TRANSFER TALK

Spurs scouting Oliver Burke this season

Tottenham players know that if they want a move then they have to go and train with the Under-21 lads as Pochettino only wants players around the first team squad who want to be a part of what he is doing at White Hart Lane. Nabil Bentaleb is training with the Development lads at Spurs while he tries to find another club.

David Moyes has taken that a step further and banned 27-year-old want-away centre-back Lamine Kone from the club. Kone is claiming a back injury and has decided to miss the derby game against Middlesbrough today as he tries to force a move away from the club. He trained Thursday and complained of severe back pain on Friday too great to allow him to play the on Sunday.

Kone has refused a new contract and Moyes believes the player is feigning injury it would seem. Younes Kaboul is leaving for Watford and an £18-million offer from Everton is on the table. With over 4-years left on his contract Moyes says he will leave when the club decide he will leave, not when the player wants to leave.

There seems to be more and more of this confrontation about in football today, far more than there used to be.

Plenty of clubs are watching young Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke. Sunderland, Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham. The 19-year-old (20 next April) is a Scottish international right winger jhas hit 3 Championship goals in 4 games this season. He has 5 goals in 14 Championship games in all.
