Spurs trialist Knox

Manchester United are giving a second trial to 16-year-old (17 in December) Livingstone striker Matthew Knox, who has also spent time on trial at Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, Glasgow Rangers and Nottingham Forest.

At the beginning of his career he has played just 7 Scottish Championship games, 3 Scottish League Cup games and Scottish FA Cup game, a total of 255 minutes of senior football, the equivalent of less than 3 games, during which time he has made 1 assist in the Championship.

Mark Warburton has made several attempts to sign the Scottish Under-17 international, but Livingstone have rejected their offers. Reports in Scotland suggest their biggest bid was £75,000 and that Livingstone want £150,000, a far cry from fees for a youngster in England. He is thought to favour a move down south to a Premier league club.
