Polish International CB Kamil Glik Unlikely To Join Spurs

Torino captain Kamil Glik  will leave Turin in the summer, Italian news outlet Tuttosport have confirmed. The newspaper lists the teams interested in the defender Granada (Spain), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Zenit St Petersburg (Russia), Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 28-year-old (29 next February) Polish international captain may remain in Italy though where both AC Milan and Inter Milan are also said to be interested in signing him. He has a contract until 2020 and Spurs took a keen interest in the centre-half  last summer, but it came to nothing.

When you consider his age, our transfer policy, his contract length and therefore his cost, it is extremely difficult to see us being interested in signing him. You would expect he would want to be playing every week so that would rule him out joining us also. He is one story I think we can safely dismiss.

Spurs are searching for a striker and reports suggest 30-goal Algerian Slimani may be a target.
