Adebayor simply refuses to leave

Tottenham and widely reported to be desperate to get rid of Emmanuel Adebayor, that won't be news to any Spurs fans, we want shot of him as well. The picture below shows the only sight we want, the back of him.

The disruptive influence, he allegedly had an argument with Harry Kane after the Stoke City defeat in November that escalated and allegedly refused to apologise, has had family issues in Africa as we know. Despite mediation attempts, he is still at loggerheads with his family. That is his issue and not one I'll go into.

What I will say is he is refusing to leave Spurs. Why? Well, it has nothing to do with loyalty, nothing to do with wanting to prove himself committed to the club or supporters it's because he wants money, he wants to be paid to leave. I think we are all aware of that as well. he did the same thing with Manchester City who paid him £5 million (US$7.86m - AUS$10.22m - €7.03m) it is believed and reports are that he wants between £2.5 million (US$3.93m - AUS$5.11m - €3.52m) and £5 million to leave.

Sunday Telegraph football correspondent Jason Burt has also tweeted that Spurs have been trying to offload the Togo international striker.

Spurs offered so many deals to Adebayor to leave but he's turned them all down. Become a bit of stand-off. Think he wants contract paid up

I seem to recall an interview Adebayor gave where he tried to convince the reporter that everything wasn't about money for him yet he keeps going online to flaunt his wealth and in the January ransfer window he tried to force Daniel Levy's hand.

Despite knowing he would not be loaned to a team in the top half of the table he refused all loans and tried to engineer one to West Ham on worse terms for Tottenham.

We are of course now trying to offload him to Aston Villa in a swap plus cash deal for Belgian striker Christian Benteke the press tell us, at this stage that is unlikely to happen. Villa are in the process of being taken over by some Americans I believe which is due to be finalised in around a month.

He certainly displays the mentality we want at Spurs doesn't he!
