Adebayor likely to play despite tiredness

Emmanuel Adebayor has only one goal this season, fans ignore everything else and cry for a replacement, but when Soldado plays the role he poses no attacking threat so is hardly an upgrade.
He didn't have the greatest of games against Uganda but the Togo captain improved his performance in the second suggest African reports. Tottenham boss Pochettino is happy with his contribution though.
The players are not yet performing to the levels Mauricio Pochettino would like. He gave them a rocket for not following instructions against WBA and reminded each player that if they wanted to play or stay at the club they had better transfer what they do on the training ground to the pitch or they will leave.
The Argentinian has the full backing of Daniel Levy, who, reading between the line, is fed up with under-performing players only interested in themselves. Arsenal and Southampton were an improvement on WBA, but quite frankly anything would have been. Pochettino stressed he wants improvement from all squad members not just Adebayor when asked about the Togo striker.
The difficulty this weekend is that Adebayor played Wednesday so will be late back from international duty, Yaya Tourse also played Wednesday and arrived back on Friday. He will need to be assessed before a decision is taking on his participation but with few options it is likely he will start and tire in the second half.

“I am very happy with his performances. It’s difficult for when the striker doesn’t score, but we have full confidence in him.”

“Not only from him, but from the whole squad. We are in the beginning of a season, but we need to show more. All the players.”
