Harry Winks makes England U19 squad

Tottenham Hotspur are represented in the England U19 squad for the UEFA Euro U19 Championship qualifying games by central midfielder Harry Winks.

The 18-year-old earned 6 England U17 caps, 2 England U18 caps, in one of which he scored the winner against Germany and has a single England U19 cap to his name. He has scored 1 goal for Tottenham U21's in 8 games, that goal coming against Arsenal in a 2-0 win. Four of those games have come this season against West Ham, Southampton, Sunderland and Manchester United.

He was on the bench for the Benfica game away in the UEFA Europa League last season and also on the bench for the Liverpool and WBA away games in the Premier League.

England U19 will play three fixtures between Friday and Wednesday with the top two from the group going forward to the Elite Qualifying Round next spring.
