Sky reporter and commentator Gianluca Di Marzio states on his own website that Swiss side FC Basel will sell Mohamad Salah next summer and that Spurs are favourites to grab the talented 21 year-old's signature.
He goes on to say we had an £6.71 million (€8m) bid turned down in the summer and that after his goal scoring display against Chelsea his price will only increase.
He is an Egyptian who won the CAF Most Promising African Talent of the Year in 2012 award. He plays on either wing (prefers right) or as an attacking midfielder.
He has scored 6 goals and made 3 assists in 13 games this season which is an improved strike rate from last season when he scored 13 goals and had 12 assists in 55 games.
