The fall of the Roma empire
Final Score: Spurs 5 - 0 Roma
I'm leaving the ground at the moment and everyone around me is absolutely delighted with what we have all witnessed; a Spurs side that is capable of thrashing a Serie A giant!
A brace from both Bentley & Bent and a great team goal finished by Lennon, really capped off a great afternoon for a packed out White Hart Lane.
If this side, masterminded by Ramos & co, can consistently play throughout the season like they did today, then we are a going to thoroughly enjoy this 2008/2009 campaign.
We were simply brilliant, all beit that Roma were not at the races.
The way in which this Spurs side held onto the ball and constantly broke up any play Roma tried to formulate, was simply breath-taking.
Darren Bent needs to be provided with a starting position in my opinion. He has now scored against lower and more prestigious opposition.
Middlesbrough beware!

Let's hope it doesn't happen again this year.
Saying that Ramos is getting us playing free flowing and keeping possession football. A real joy to watch, come on berba You sure you dont wanna be part of the revolution, we now play the kind of football you have been waiting for at the lane for the last 2 years. Gives us till Jan, it promises to be an exciting adventure and the scout master Ramos at the helm, WHO KNOWS? . Come on you spurs top 5 a cup and continue building and gelling 2009 will be the big one COYS
After that we can start thinking about seriously the David Villa's amd Robinho's and start doing some tapping of our own !
Over the moon on the results but we still need some quality.Arshavin is a must to compliment Berba (I think he is going to no where).
Bent is too direct and we need a Robbie Keane type sometimes to open up the defense.
Other than that we have every right to be optimistic.
Big difference this time around IMO!
lets look shall we
Man Utd - erh no
Chelsea - miles to strong
Arsenal - Champion contenders
Liverpool - now they have Keane
ha ha you are about to lose 40+ goals and with your defensive record 12th
