The Spurs Cruise

The Spurs Cruise

The-Spurs-Cruise

When you go on holiday, a part of that is the journey.

The journey is something you anticipate, something that excites and something you even enjoy.

It's the beginning.

Goals are important, something you aim for, but if you don't enjoy the journey along the way you are never going to be satisfied.

In life there are two paths.

One, to focus always on the destination, to live with anxiety and nervousness, always worried about when you’re going to get there.

The other path, the wiser and nobler one, is to focus on the journey. To enjoy the road with all its scenery.

Tottenham are on a journey.

It is sometimes scenic, as against Manchester City and sometime not, as against Southampton or Wolves.

But the journey is a longer journey.

Antonio Conte has only been here a few months to help us travel closer to a winning future.

Many fans talk about winning 'a' trophy, but that isn't the journey we are on.

Our journey is to win trophies regularly and winning one does not guarantee winning any more.

One of the reasons so many adults are so empty is because they never learned to enjoy the journey.

They don’t know how to enjoy the present.

They live a dream, immersed in a dream, they are never sufficiently awake to enjoy reality, to even see, let alone enjoy the journey.

You can take a 3-day cruise to Portugal and back or you can take a cruise around the Mediterranean, stopping off at many ports.

It takes longer but it's more enjoyable, as is the vessel you are on and the journey to each destination.

If you enjoy the journey, you'll enjoy each port of call more and have a happier life.

The journey is filled with beauty and wonder, with moments of intense joy and despair, the rich tapestry of life.

Take a look back at where the journey started, how far it has taken us so far, how the club has been built to afford the continuing journey at a more elite level.

See everything as a temporary stop along the way.

Captain Conte has his way of doing things and the club is changing the stewards serving us our entertainment.

Each transfer window is another port of call on our journey.

Stop seeing each window as the destination, stop seeing it as a solution to every problem.

It isn't and it can't be.

Being unhappy is a choice, your choice.

It happens because you choose to reflect on things that make you unhappy, on negative things.

Your negativity is a noose around your neck.

Choose to focus on what brings joy and your life is happier, you are happier and a better person for it, as those around you will testify.

Just dismiss what makes you unhappy, cut it out, it's a cancer that destroys.

Happiness keeps you young.

Where is the logic in choosing to be unhappy?

“Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.” - Abraham Lincoln

Enjoy the Spurs cruise folks.
