Tottenham Hotspur 1 Manchester City 0
The doom and gloom merchants had it all wrong, the anti-Levy crowd won't be happy, the whingers about the transfer window put in their place as Spurs defeated Manchester City in the opening game of the season.
Now shut up, quit complaining and support the side like all proper supporters do.

Half-Time 0-0
The first half-time draw at half-time in the opening weekend of the Premier League.
A solid battling performance where City dominated for 20 minutes before Spurs found their counter-attacking game and looked to pose a threat with the pace in the side.
City keep finding a hole on the left of our defence between Hojbjerg and Skipp whereas the link between Dier and Reguilon looked solid.
2nd Half
46 mins Poor Hojbjerg shot cleared with Son lurking
47 Excellent Sanchez block
48 Moura pulls shot very wide, should do better
SON hasn't been holding the ball up very well, doesn't have the Harry Kane art of winning free-kicks to relieve pressure or give ourselves time or to move us up the pitch.
53 mins Dier defensive header clears danger
55 mins SON SCORES a gem, cuts in from the right onto his left foot and hits one into the far corner. Terrible defending from Dias who has his feet in a muddle and can't stick his foot out to block the shot, fooling his keeper who stands and watches.
SON has scored in 4 consecutive games vs Man City at home and 7 goals against them in all.
59 mins Bergwijn is one-on-one and has the chance to put the game to bed but sends a poor shot wide when he should be going across the keeper to the far corner

79 mins Hojbjerg overruns ball on the right hand side and Spurs lose possession
80 mins Dier interceots the ball again
82 mins Tanganga subbed for Doherty.
TANGANGA has had an excellent game that will surely see him stay and Spurs this season and no go out on loan
83 mins Kevin de Bruyne shot easily saved by Lloris
86 mins Torres with space on the left hits a poor shot that Lloris saves
87 mins Lo Celso loses the ball just inside our own half and Doherty blocks a Grealish cross. Hojbjerg goes down with an ankle injury and is replaced by new signing Romero as Spurs revert to 5 at the back.
92 mins Skipp charges in with a strong challenge to win the ball in their half.
94 mins WHISTLE GOES
Tottenham Hotspur 1 Manchester City 0
Everyone put in a good shift, Skipp grew into the game, Tanganga was excellent, Hojbjerg put in his usual shift.
Moura ran at the defence, as did Bergwijn and Eric Dier had an excellent game too with Sanchez having a decent game beside him too.
Our much maligned centre-back pairing should be basking in some praise after their games.
Well that's it folks.
