Eriksen Latest - Spurs Offer Deal

Cristian-Eriksen
It is looking likely that Christian Eriksen will stay at Spurs

Christian Eriksen and his agent sat down with Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino on Wednesday and the very latest news is that he is likely to sign a new deal.

It is public knowledge that Real Madrid have other targets now, Neymar and Paul Pogba.

I have revealed before that our asking price on Eriksen is £80 million (€89.19m - $100.43m) and Real Madrid do not want to pay that price, they don't even want to pay £70 million (€78.04m - $87.88m).

The club are applying pressure on him to sign a new deal because if he doesn't, he would need replacing next season and Pochettino doesn't like playing players who are leaving, he prefers to bed in someone new.

Eriksen has applied pressure on Spurs to let him leave for a lower price, it's all a part of a negotiation process and shouldn't be taken as black and white by fans, alas they do.

That would make Giovani Lo Celso our main attacking midfielder with Eriksen having to share the duties and fight for a place. Pochettino wants him to stay and sign a deal.

PSG are interested in him but he is not very interested in them, he wants Real Madrid or Barcelona, but Real Madrid only see him as a squad player, Zidane is not a great fan, he doesn't rate him like Spurs fans do.

As I wrote after the UEFA Champions League final, he failed his audition.

Manchester United interest is irrelevant, we will not sell him to a Premier League club, only an overseas one and they confirmed Eriksen has no interest in moving to another Premier League team either.

Will he sign a deal, will he run down his contract and possibly be a bit-part player?
