Neville has not seen a team play like Tottenham

Gary Neville felt he had not seen a team play like Tottenham did in the first 20 minutes, the speed of the running and the constant tackling. He felt, as we all did, Manchester City simply didn't know what to do about it.

Spurs were making tackle after tackle, putting afoot in constantly, at the risk of a foul yes, but it upsets a sides rhythm when they don't have any time on the ball. Players were having to make snap decisions and much of the Manchester City passing was simply offloading the responsibility onto someone else.

During commentary he mentioned that Kolorov mentally couldn't cope with being put under pressure and that later in the game he was hiding.

Neville mentioned the likes of Adebayor, Capoue, Paulinho as players who simply couldn't play in the manner that Spurs played yesterday, the way he wants Spurs to play. The recruitment he says has been outstanding, yet this summer our own fans were once again moaning and groaning about not spending money. That demonstrates a total lack of faith in Pochettino for which they should be embarrassed.

Sunday showed what we were capable of, a glimpse of how we can play and a statement for many suggesting we will challenge for the title again.
