Kaboul to Roma

Tottenham and Roma are discussing a loan deal for club captain Younes Kaboul who Spurs are keen to move on.

Kaboul to Roma

Roma manager Rudi García has Vlad Chiriches as his number one choice and has agreed personal terms with the players agents but as reported previously Tottenham are refusing to allow the Romanian captain to leave this window, he is needed as right-back cover with DeAndre Yedlin needing time to settle into the club, the system and the level of football.

Roma hare therefore looking at the possibility of taking Younes Kaboul on loan until the end of the season and then buying Chiriches in the summer, if they can come to a fee agreement with Spurs as that has proved difficult for Director of Football Walter Sabatini so far.

Eric Dier is now the back-up central defender with Winston Reid lined up for the summer, again as reported previously, but it's possible he could join today.

Tottenham want certain players out of the club and if realistic deals come in that see them depart, even only on a temporary basis, then the club will accept them. If the offer come in to buy one of them at the right price it will be snapped up regardless of the situation it leaves us in such is our desire to remove them. We do have contingency plans though that we'd try to put into operation.
