Emmanuel Adebayor has come t the defence of Asamoah Gyan, despite the Ghana striker scoring against his Togo side in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this week, a game Togo lost.
Gyan is suffering abuse and being blamed for the disappearance of his musical friend Castro. They went on holiday together a couple pf months ago and Castro disappeared and has not been seen since. Some people are even suggesting Gyan must have sacrificed Castro to save himself.
Despite this he turned out for his country, scored an equaliser and had a and in the build up to the winner for Ghana.
Kumasi-based journalist Daniel Kenu even had the audacity to ask a question along those lines at a press conference organised by the Ghanaian FA. Gyan still put in a high class performance at what must be a very trying time for him which drew praise from Adebayor.

“Look at the problems Asamoah Gyan and his family are going through. People are saying a lot of things they don’t know about and it’s sad.
“We all like Castro and we are all praying for him to come back. So I think it’s very bad what people are saying about Asamoah Gyan.
“Asamoah Gyan is one of the best players in Africa and he showed it today [Wednesday] by scoring a great goal for his country.”
