Tottenham Transfer News

Tottenham felt that Nico Williams was a bit expensive in the summer but was our second-choice winger option. Manchester United are considering a January bid. Nico Williams Scouting Report

Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United are all monitoring the situation of Everton's 22-year-old Belgian (9 caps) defensive midfield player Amadou Onana.

Everton put a price of £50 million on him prior to the Summer Transfer Window.

Aston Villa and Fulham scouts watched Geny Catamo, the 22-year-old right-winger of Portuguese club Sporting CP, during their match against Moscavide.

Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are all keeping tabs on the youngster. He is left-footed but also has experience playing as a full-back.

AC Milan are planning to make a move for 24-year-old (25 next August) Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Díaz in January. Premier League clubs including Tottenham are also interested in the Spaniard.

Formerly with Manchester City, Díaz spent 3 seasons on loan at AC Milan from September 2020 until June 2023. He scored for AC Milan against Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League to put us out of the competition.

Tottenham have cast their eye over the situation of Boavista's 20-year-old (21 next September) Portuguese left-winger Tiago Morais. He has 4 goals and 1 assist in 7 league appearances this season.

Tottenham and Sevilla are keeping tabs on Boca Juniors' 21-year-old (22 next July) Argentine defensive midfield player Ezequiel Fernández, formerly of Barcelona. Liverpool are said to be making efforts to sign him.

Tottenham are following Fiorentina's 25-year-old (26 next April) Argentine (28 caps, 5 goals, 3 assists) right-winger Nicolás González. He is also being tracked by Manchester United and Liverpool.

Spurs and LaLiga side Sevilla are monitoring the future of 20-year-old (21 next January) Manchester United's French-born Tunisian international (27 caps) attacking midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.

He has played on the left-wing, right-wing, central midfield and attacking midfield for his country after playing at U-16 and U-17 level for France. His contract runs out in the summer but there is a one-year extension option.

Juventus have offered Tottenham a loan deal in January with an option to buy at the end of the season that turns into an obligation to buy if Juventus qualify for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for Danish international Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. The stumbling block is the valuation.

Spurs see him as worth €30 million while Juventus feel €15 million is their point. With other options available perhaps a deal will be found for around €20-22 million.

They are offering the same deal to Atlético Madrid for Rodrigo De Paul who has a contract until 2026 so is valued at €40+ and is being chasen by several Saudi Arabian clubs.

Højbjerg is the second choice, but his wages are cheaper and he'll cost less, which are important considerations for Juventus.

Santiago Giménez

Santiago Giménez you already know about, but have you heard the words of Morris Pagniello, the FIFA intermediary for the 22-year-old (23 next April) Argentine center forward, who is a naturalized Mexican (22 caps, 4 goals.

"We have already discussed with Atletico Madrid. After he arrived at Feyenoord, the family approached me and now there are relationships with his father (Christian Gimenez, former Boca and Veracruz, called up by Maradona for the 2010 World Cup) who represents Santi at the moment.

"I'm their consultant. We talked about it with Inter, Milan, Lazio and Napoli, but for me he could be perfect for both Inter and Juventus. They would be the best options for him.

"I've been telling him for more than a year. various clubs to believe in him, his value went from 10 million to 40 in just under twelve months. Now the teams closest to him are Real Madrid and Tottenham."

He has 13 goals and 3 assists in 9 Eredivisie games for Feyenoord and scored twice in 72 UEFA Champions League minutes to beat Lazio on Wednesday.

That will do for the news today.
