Tottenham Scouting Nusa
Tottenham have sent scouts to watch 18-year-old (19 next April) Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge.
The Norwegian international (2 caps, 1 goal, 3 assists in 144 minutes) left-winger has scored 2 goals and had 2 assists in his 5 Jupiler Pro League games this season, -plus an assist in a UEFA European Conference League qualifier.
He has played 67% of the available minutes and contributed to 21% of his side's goals (while he has been on the pitch).
Obviously, Spurs are not the only club following his progress but he has impressed our scouts we have sent to see him first-hand.
I can reveal Arsenal are following him and at least two of theor 1st XI have already spoken with him;. Chelsea and Manchester United are watching him.
Chelsea bid £21.68m (€25m) on deadline day but it was turned down.
Spanish outlet Defensa Central reports that Nusa is on Real Madrid's list of potential alternatives to Kylian Mbappe, alongside Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko.
All these clubs had a scout watching him on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League (UECL) against Turkish side Beşiktaş, as did Liverpool, PSV and Inter Milan.
You really get the sense that the club is being built not just for the next couple of seasons but beyond that with these players coming through.
Whether we make a move for him in January or the summer it's hard to say at this stage as he still has to move up the scouting chain.
By that, I mean that more senior scouts need to cast their eye over him and he has yet to pass that evaluationj process.
Our development of these players has to improve and that's something we will have to monitor because these guys all need to be playing competitive football each week.
