  • Morgan Sanson was offered to Tottenham with Marseille needing to have to sell players to balance the books.
    French clubs have to submit accounts and projections for the following year by the end of the month. 
  • Marseille need to raise £53.46m (€60m - AUS$97.22m - US$67.73m) with Morgan Sanson, Boubacar Kamara and Maxime Lopez being the combination of players expected to be sold.

  • Le 10 Sport suggest Spurs are close to finalising a deal through super agent Pini Zahavi who enjoys a good relationship with José Mourinho and that the deal should happen very soon.
  • Sanson price could be €30m but as Spurs know the French must sell before the end of the month, time pressure will either bring the price down or include more add-ons or extend payments with an initial loan deal.

    “For Morgan, his priority is Marseille. But he continues to be willing to listen to offers, so long as they are adequately in line with his sporting ambitions. Morgan has been approached a lot, but he will not leave if from a football perspective, what is being offered is not better than at Marseille. His aim is not to earn more money, but to improve in his football.”
