£55.54m + add-ons and Pochettino chat

Tanguy-Ndombele

The news the desperate have been waiting for has arrived, two tough negotiators, Daniel Levy and Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, have agreed on a fee and those silly children shouting at Daniel Levy and questioning him need tio get back in their prams and stick to playing school games, they clearly don't understand business and football.

There has never been a shred of doubt that Daniel Levy would not sign Mauricio Pochettino's targets for the last month. What doubt there has been, has been only in the minds of the weak.

Tottenham are following a growth path. The business had to be built, to generate the income, to pay for the football. That was patently obvious to anyone with a shred of business sense. The business MUST be sustainable and so to throw money at a problem or spend when you haven't laid the foundations properly would be the route to destroying what has been built before it can come to fruition.

Spurs are ahead of schedule. We are 3 years ahead of our growth plan. I will remind you that Daniel Levy said he wants to build the club to rival Real Madrid and Barcelona both off the field and on the field. You can't get much more ambitious than that and our own fans have rubbished the idea, even suggested we should know our place and not even bother trying.

These are the very same people who complain if you criticise their attitude! I have no time for clueless people like this.

Tanguy Ndombélé, if truth be known, decided to join Tottenham over a month ago when we made our offer to him, an offer that was better than other clubs were prepared to offer. His desire and Pochettino's desire to have him meant Daniel Levy would always come to an agreement over price.

That fee is €62m (£55.54m - $70.41m) plus €15m (£13.44m - $17.03m) add-ons. He will have a medical and sign an initial 5-year contract until 2024.

What nobody else has told you is that V visited the Tottenham training ground after the international break where he had a meeting with Mauricio Pochettino who outlined Spurs plans to build a squad this summer to win the Premier League.

Tanguy knew where he was going then and has been waiting for a deal to be agreed and those figures can now go into Lyon's accounts before they submit them at the end of the month. There have been a lot of red herrings thrown out, hence a lot of fans get the wrong idea and the wrong impression.

I will leave all the statement garbage, which is just fans egos, to inferior websites.

I have seen Manchester United fans bleating and asking how he can choose Tottenham over United. When will people learn, players want Champions League football, they only accept Europa League football as a last resort or if they are money grabbers and are overpaid.

Tottenham are a Champions League side with a Champions League finalists pull. Being in it is absolutely essential as we move forward.

An excellent piece you have to read by Andrew Gaffney, who has translated an interview Mauricio Pochettino gave to El Pais in Spanish.
