Radamel Falcao to return against Spurs

Monaco striker Radamel Falcao is set to return from injury against Tottenham in the upcoming opening UEFA Champions League encounter.

He injured a thigh muscle in the play-off game against Turkish side Fenerbahce after scoring from the penalty spot and setting up another goal to help the French side through to the group stages.

The 30-year-old Colombian suffered a serious knee injury in January 2014 and has failed to recapture the form that made him a star striker. His loans spells at Manchester United and Chelsea were not successful.

Falcao returned to training on Monday and just over a week to get in shape.
