Our first ever game on this day was a Wolverton & District Charity Cup Round 1 ties against Chesham in 1894. We drew 2-2. Usually an FA Cup day, we have played two Premier League fixtures against Ipswich Town and Stoke City. Our last game was in 2013 when we lost to Leeds United at Elland Road 2-1 after which Mousa Dembele said he wasn't motivated for the game.

1894Full-back Jack Jull, one of the finest players in the Victorian era, scores his last Spurs goal. He was one of the founding members of Hotspur Football Club later to become Tottenham Hotspur and one of those most influential in the Club's development during the 1880s and 1890s. He was the first Spurs player to receive representative honours in 1891. He was made Club President in 1895 and an honorary life member when he retired as club captain in 1896.

1947Smallest home crowd for a game with Swansea = 6,292 

Charlie Whitchurch scores the last goal of his Tottenham career. He played for PortsmouthTottenham HotspurSouthend UnitedFolkestone Town and represented England at schoolboy level.
1978Sid Castle, outside right 1919-1921, dies. He played for Basingstoke TownThornycroft AthleticGuildford UnitedTottenham Hotspur (5 games)Charlton Athletic and Chelsea. He coached Ajax between early 1927 and September 1928.
1982Forward Garth Crooks, now a BBC pundit, plays his 50th League game for Spurs.
1996Full-back Clive Wilson scores his first goal for Spurs after being signed by Gerry Francis in 1995 against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup. His only other goal for us in four seasons was a league goal against Leicester City.

Midfielder Darren Caskey, a former trainee, makes his final Spurs appearance. He captained the England side which won the 1993 UEFA European Under-18 Football Championship, scoring the winning penalty in the 1-0 victory against Turkey in the final.
1999Left-back Justin Edinburgh, now manager of League One challengers Gillingham, plays the 300th match of his career. He moved to Spurs for £150,000 in January 1990, initially on loan, from Southend United. He played for Spurs for most of the 1990s winning the FA Cup in 1991 and the League Cup in 1999. He made 190 league appearances (and 23 as substitute) scoring a solitary goal before leaving for Portsmouth in March 2000 for a fee of £175,000.
2007Portuguese central defender Ricardo Rocha plays the first match of his Tottenham career. He joined from Benfica and left for Standard Liege in 2009.
2008Jermain Defoe makes his last appearance in a Spurs shirt. He holds the Premier League record for the most number of goals as a substitute, 22.
2009We beat Stoke City 3-1. The victory was Tottenham's 150th home win in the Premier League.

Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini makes his first appearance in a Spurs shirt after signing the previous day on a free transfer from Chelsea. He stayed with us until 31 December 2012 when he joined MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy on a free transfer.
2012Tottenham's first FA Cup tie at Vicarage Road. Rafael van der Vaart scored the only goal of the game.
