Is Luiz Adriano the man to replace Soldado or Adebayor?

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked as have Spurs in the past, could Brazilian striker Adriano be an option for Tottenham despite him falling outside our 27 threshold? He is Continually linked with the Premier League year after year.

It's mu belief and by looking at who we are linked with that it seems we want two young strikers, we have one in Harry Kane of course, and an experienced striker. That would make sense so do we keep a misfiring Roberto Soldado or replace him with an alternative?

The Daily Telegraph quoted him as saying he would not be renewing his contract so could a summer move be a possibility instead of waiting until his contract expires at the end of the year?

“My plan is to respect the contract, which has not been renewed and will expire in December 2015. I am in a good moment of my career and we'll do what will be best for me and for the club. With my contract set to expire and many good performances, it'll be difficult to stay in Ukraine."

His tally of 128 goals and 43 assists in 285 games for Shakhtar Donetsk shows he knows where the net is and provides assists as well. His goal tally for the last 6 seasons has been 17, 20, 16, 15, 26 and 21. He has scored 33 goals in 65 games in European competition.

A team player rather than an everyone play for me player, just the sort we need and with his contract expiring wouldn't cost very much at all now and nothing in January. he won the FIFA Club World Cup in 2006, the UEFA Europa League in 2008/09, in Ukraine he has picked up 6 league titles, 4 cups and 5 Super Cups as well as being voted the Most Valuable Player in last seasons group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

His shot accuracy in last seasons Champions League where he scored 9 goals in 7 games, all of which were right footed and inside the area, was 71%, he created 7 chances, made 6 key passes, won 55% of his duels and had a 62% pass completion. Adriano had 15 shots in total, all of which were from inside the area, was successful in 2 of his 5 one-on-one situations. Being 1.83m (6ft 0in) tall he has aerial ability and won 56% of his headers.

He is a goalscorer, is going to cost little or nothing to buy so it would all be about his wages. He could be a good option for us to consider to help the youngsters.
