Tottenham Under 21's took on their Manchester City counterparts on Monday night in the Barclays U21 Premier League.
We now sit in 9th place having won three games and lost four, while Manchester City are second on fourteen points from eight games.
Clubs are allowed to field three over age players plus an overage goalkeeper and we took advantage of that on Monday to give Kyle Walker his first game back from an eight month long injury break, playing 67 minutes before being substituted. He was delighted to have got back onto the field and thanked everyone via his Twitter account.
Spurs took the lead in the match through Shaquile Coulthirst after 27 minutes when he rose highest to head home a cross from the right and then he doubled our lead 10 minutes later when slotting home a harry Winks ball to the back post.
Walker cleared off his own line but City did eventually force their way back into the game after 70 minutes when Bersant Celina pulled one back.
In the dying minutes Manchester City were awarded a penalty when Connor Ogilvie fouled Bytyqi but Luke McGee saved the penalty and Spurs youngsters held on for a much needed victory.

"Felt good to be back on the pitch tonight with the U21s, nice to cap it with a win too.
"Thanks to the medical team, the fans, my friends and most of all my family for standing by me whilst injured. Always light at the end of the tunnel."
