Lovren to be Pochettino's first signing?

It is no secret Spurs need a centre-half, maybe two. Daniel Levy and new boss Mauricio Pochettino have prioritised buying a centre-back and have targeted Dejan Lovren.

Lovren to be first signing?

Tottenham have a potential list and Franco Baldini is trying to work a deal with Fiorentina to sell Vlad Chiriches and bring in Montenegrin Stefan Savić. He has rebuilt his career with the Italian side after a poor time at Manchester City as a 19 year-old.

However if I had to guess who Pochettino's first signing will be, besides the academy player expected in a few days, I'd say it will be centre-back Dejan Lovren from Southampton.

Pochettino has targeted his former player and as we are interested the name of Liverpool has to be mentioned as well, Roma too are said to be watching developments. The Southampton players love Pochettino and he is keen to rejoin his former boss at Tottenham making us firm favourites for the 24 year-old's signature when the transfer window opens on June 9th.

No fee has been agreed between the clubs yet but when it is the deal is expected to go through quickly with Lovren at the World Cup this summer with Croatia.
