Lamela not joining Inter Milan
There are reports of Italian giants Inter being very interested in signing Erik Lamela this summer.
There are a host of Italian sides who would like to take Lamela on loan however Tottenham have no interest in a loan deal that has no benefit apart from running down his contract.
Sky Italia reported that Franco Baldini has been offering the 22 year-old Argentine for sale for £25 million (€30.74m). His agent Paul Sabbag and his father Jose jointly look after Lamela and his father revealed to FcInterNews.it that he hadn't heard anything of an Inter move.
Not having been selected for the World Cup Tottenham have sent Lamela back to his former club in Argentina, River Plate, to get fit after a season of injury. River Plate are the Argentinian champions, claiming the title a record 36th time.
Lamela has been put on a special fitness programme and will work with the fitness coaches at River Plate. He will train with the squad.

He will then return a week early and begin pre-season training with the youth players ahead of the return of the other first team players not involved in the World Cup. They will rest after the tournament and begin pre-season a couple of weeks later.
Tomorrow Daniel Levy meets Mauricio Pochettino to have a more detailed discussion about the squad and youth players, who to retain, who to let go and which youth players can be developed.
The transfer window opens on 9th June and 11th June in the major European leagues so he will have had a busy week studying player tapes.

“Erik hasn’t mentioned any offers coming from Inter. He’s very well liked in Italy, but this story is all new to me.
“He currently has a long contract with Tottenham. If someone is interested in him then the clubs will have to talk it over.”
