Priority is the league, Tromso manager + Erik Thorstvedt pointers.

Our former goalkeeper turned TV pundit back home in Norway Erik Thorstvedt has been speaking to the club and an article appears in the programme ahead of tonight's clash against Norwegian side Tromso.

“I live over here in Norway and I work with the Premier League on TV, and I’ve seen every Spurs game so far this season.

“Tromso have had a disappointing season. They have been quite good for the last two seasons, but they’re in real danger of actually getting relegated this time, so that may influence the way they go about the competition.

“They have a young guy in their team called Josh Pritchard, who is from Stockport originally, and he has come over on loan from Fulham, so I’m sure it will be a special moment for him if he gets the chance to play against Spurs.

“They’ve also got a really, really quick right back called Hans Norbye, and their striker is a good finisher.
“Spurs should perhaps be more concerned about November 28, which is the second time the clubs will meet, as it’s late in the year and Tromso is the northernmost top level team in Norway and the weather conditions could be pretty harsh.”

Tromso are only out of a relegation place on goal difference despite beating top of the table Tosenborg on Sunday. They play the team bottom of the Tippeligaen next, Sarpsborg 08 away from home and then the team occupying that final relegation place, third from bottom side Start.

Tromso manager Christensen told Tromso based Norwegian newspaper Nordlys that he will priortise their up coming important league games.

"I said clearly in the dressing room that we won't compromise on the Tippeligaen. We are going to make some changes against Tottenham, I can almost guarantee that.

"Some will play all three games, but there are more who won't play all three. If you choose with your heart and not your brain you will push yourself into a corner. Two are the most important from the next three matches, the two in the Tippeligaen."
