Spurs Transfer Talk

Spurs-Transfer-News

Hello once again folks.

Have you been watching All or Nothing?

José Mourinho must surely have won over those who wanted him out before even giving him a chance.

And the players say the 90 minute follower does not help the club, hence why I block.

Right transfer news.

I have been asked about Troy Deeney.

As far as I'm aware the 32-year-old Watford striker is off the WBA to give them some Premier League experience up front to be replaced by soon to be 37-year-old Glen Murray from Brighton.

Spurs are interested in Joshua King despite what others write and we have already spoken with his representatives for preliminary talks.

He is ahead in our thinking.

You'll remember I wrote that post about the homegrown situation and those problems are present at the moment until Foyth, Gazzaniga, Ndombélé and Aurier depart.

Also association trained and non-association trained for the Europa League.

This is why we ended up signing Matt Doherty instead of Timothy Castagne and why we are now looking for homegrown strikers.

We have to offload non-association trained.

If we buy a non-associated trained player then we will have to drop another non-association trained player for the Europa League, we can't just have a wholesquad of them and pick who we like, football doesn't work like that.

Tottenham are interested in signing Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla. (Corriere di Verona)

TMW journalist Alessio Calfapietra has told Lazio Style Radio there is no reason to doubt Lazio Director of Sport Igli Tare's claim that Lazio are no longer pursuing Hellas Verona's Marash Kumbulla.

Calfapietra claims Lazio have increased their efforts to sign Beijing Guoan centre-back and Tottenham target Kim Min-jae.

According to Sky Sports, Inter Milan have informed Hellas Verona that they are no longer as interested in Marash Kumbulla either.

Transfer expert Nicolò Schira claimed o Twitter that Lazio offered €16 million + Cristiano Lombardi and Fabio Maistro for Kumbulla and that Inter Milan only offered 18 million plus Eddie Salcedo.

Reports suggest Hellas Verona want 30 million.

Who is Marash Kumbulla?

He is a highly-regarded young Albanian centre-back who has caught the eye in the back three of Ivan Jurić's system, the head coach of Hellas Verona.

Kumbulla progress has been tracked by Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Antonio Conte doesn't really want to sell Milan Škriniar, that he believes he can adapt to a three-man defence.

As I said before, he is someone we asked for, he isn't someone who has said he wants to play for Spurs.

We would have to convince him to come and his latest quote shows we haven't, why would he with our toxic fanbase.

A thought for you.

Lyon publish fees for players sold and bought, presumably they have to be in the end of season accounts that they have to submit, together with a financial forecast for the following season to ensure they break even and are therefore viable businesses in their own right, only then do they get a licence to play.

Somebody looked up for me and told me that according to Lyon official published accounts, we paid 42m plus add-ons and the add-ons will not have been achieved so won't be payable.

Now whether that was 42m euros or pounds I can't remember but that's what we need to get back although other reports suggest we are looking for 55m (£48.86m).

Quite apart from his attitude, did Mourinho decide early he didn't want him and thus not played him so as not to hit a set number of games and release an add-on clause.

If we tell the market we want to sell a player, telling them allows them to make a low ball offer so there is a cat and mouse game going on at the moment, rest assured, if we get our money back he is gone, 100%.

But nobody has any money which rather puts a spanner in the works and ties our hands rather.

It is going to take something creative to get shot of him.

Serge Aurier is a different kettle of fish, he is gone as soon as AC Milan can sell a right-back to make way for him, at the moment they are struggling to sell one.
