Record under ref Mason and encouraging signs from Sanchez

TRANSFER TALK

Lee Mason has been appointed referee for our Premier League game against Burnley at Wembley on Sunday. His assistants will be H Lennard and M Wilkes with the fourth official as R Madley.

Spurs' record in the Premier League with Lee Mason refereeing is: WON 8 DRAWN 4 and LOST 3.

New signing Davinson Sanchez, who was officially announced yesterday, is absolutely delighted to have signed for Spurs and feels it's a huge step forward in his career.

"I feel amazing and am so happy to start training with the boys. This is an amazing club and the facilities are unbelievable. It's a huge step forward in my career and will allow me to continue developing and achieving big things. This is a great chance."

That does rather indicate that he intends to take that chance, which again suggests he has the right mental attitude. Clearly he sees this as a challenge, which is good news, if he approaches it right.

Compare that to Etienne capoue who expected to be guaranteed a starting berth or Georges'Kevin N'Koudou who has already admitted he had the wrong attitude in training and wasn't trying hard enough. That is symptomatic of someone who feels they have made it so eases off or someone who has become despondent when game time doesn't come easy to them.

From his initial comments to our website it doesn't appear that Sanchez is going to suffer the same fate.
