Will Son Heung-min be rested against West Ham?

SPURS vs WEST HAM

Son Heung-min had a purple patch for Tottenham banging in the goals but has struggled for goals and shots since. He won the September Player of the Month Award after scoring 3 goals, but has failed to score since before the last international break, although he did score for his country.

The South Korean international has revealed that he has been playing with an ankle problem, just as Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have been playing with foot problems.

“It’s true that I’ve struggled after winning the award because of an ankle injury, but it’s not just me; the whole team is having a difficult time. With the national team, your strong mindset matters more than your form. I came here to win.”

Oh dear, it's that mindset some of our fans don't believe has any affect rearing its ugly head again, perhaps one day they'll get it. He played for South Korea during the international break and how fit he will be with all the travelling he has to do we will have to wait and see.

Usually he and Erik Lamela need a rest after an international break, but with Lamela being injured he has been able to rest and is expected to be fit. That could see Son on the bench for the West Ham game and a chance to give his ankle some much needed rest.

Perhaps his ankle injury is the reason he pulled out of a challenge we all thought he should have made against Petr Cech during the North London Derby.
