Augustin wants to stay at PSG this season
1 min read
- France Football report that French Champions PSG have rejected a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur for striker Jean-Kévin Augustin.
That was the news earlier this week. Now the 18-year-old's (20 in June) actions could be interpreted as wanting the move his club are not allowing. Sounds like Rabiot all over again. However the story being spun by another website doesn't take much account of the fact that RC Lens are not in the French first division, but the second division.
French side Angers sit 5th in the table and they are keen to take the young forward on loan, his response to that would be more important than his response to a division two side. From what I understand Laurent Blanc does not want to loan the player out to anyone and the player himself wants to stay at PSG. French Football have confirmed that is their understanding too.
I wouldn't call that having your head turned, as is the suggestion.
