Vadillo story looks like rubbish

Inside Spanish Football are reporting an A Bola story that Tottenham are once again chasing a player we have watched for three seasons now, 20-year-old (21 in September) Álvaro Vadillo.
We have two new scouts in the Iberian region as Spurs, through Rob MacKenzie try to build a scouting network commensurate with our position. Our scouting has been a joke. If you go back to Damien Comolli, director of football 2005-08, he had his own scouting network rather than using any Tottenham one.
It is another change we have had to make if we want to be a top level club, scouting is an essential part of that, especially scouting the next generation of talent.
Álvaro Vadillo has been on our radar for three years Inside Spanish football claim and suggest we are in a battle with Sporting to sign him. The story comes from the Portuguese press who are not the most reliable, remember the suggestion we were going to loan Lamela for a season with a buy option at the end of just 7.5 million Eur, that's just £5.24 million.
It was a fantasy story and this story may be just using our name as we are looking for a wide attacker. The problem area we have is on the right, this chap plays on the left as a right-footer. With inverted wingers we need a left-footer on the right, Chadli is dual footed and scored a great goal with his left against AC Milan but do we want to move him from a position he scored 11 goals last season?
A Bola are suggesting that Real Betis, his current club, want offers from Benfica or Spurs which rather suggests they are trying to increase his price bu linking him with bigger clubs. He only has a year left on his contract and hasn't scored a single goal in 38 La Liga games, although he has made 4 assists.
he has promise but isn't productive, he has pace and an ability to beat his man, he also has that essential quality vision, he can see and play a pass. Liverpool have been watching him but at the moment he is a player that needs developing rather than someone who could walk into the first team. he has to add a goal threat to his game. A look at statistics suggest he needs a lot of work on his crossing. His ball control is good and he has a defensive work ethic too so there are plusses with the minuses.
Spurs may be after undiscovered talent to nurture, but a player who has shown no goal threat to date is not what we need right now or in the future, we already have Érik Lamela and Andros Townsend. Unless he can add a goal threat then there is plenty of other up and coming talent out there.
Further Tottenham Reading
Still a bit defensively for Ben Davies to work on
Carroll should take a leaf out of the Alli book
There are 297 Spurs products available now at the Football-Shop.net such as the mobile phone hard cover shown, also iPad covers and sleeve.
