Spurs begin Moses talks
2 min read
Tottenham have begun talks for Chelsea winger Victor Moses. At the end of June, Tottenham sounded out Moses to get an idea of what would be required to make a deal happen, now we have begun discussions over a four-year deal reports the EDS Sports CEO.
There were suggestions that Spurs had tabled a bid, other suggestions that Spurs were lining up a bid. The truth of the matter is Spurs were making preliminary enquiries. As with each position, Tottenham has a list of targets and sound out a whole series of players to gauge their views and establish which would be interested in a move to White Hart Lane.
Players and agents know the score, they know teams do not simply sign their first choice so they don't have hissy fits because they are not a first choice starter. We discussed Victor Moses with his agent, as agents know the type of figures a selling club would want and if they might be willing to do business.
Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has suggested the 24-year-old (25 in December) Nigerian might be used a bit more by Chelsea this season but that is probably Mark Hughes talking up a player he had on loan last season. Chelsea always looked a strange move to me, he was never going to be good enough to play regularly in the team so why go there, it was never going to help his career.
He is 24, he should be playing every week, the number of players who go to a club like Chelsae or Manchester City and don't play is daft. Do these players seriously think they are that good or are they just going there for the wages? It smacks of the latter but at 24, football should be coming first. Last season he played 19 Premier League games, playing time equivalent to 16 ganes, scoring 3 goals with 4 assists.
He has potential, but unless he plays he won't fulfil that potential. I have bee happy with our signings but this potential one fills me with reservations. If Pochettino thinks he can unlock him fair enough but he doesn't set the pulses racing, but then that is not the object of a transfer window.

I can confirm Victor Moses representatives are in talks with Tottenham regarding a possible 4 year deal.
