Delph on the Tottenham radar

Tottenham were hoping to get a first hand look at Fabian Delph when playing against Aston Villa this weekend but unfortunately he missed the game through injury. He dislocated his shoulder and needed surgery after a training i jury and is out until after Christmas.
The Sunday People, not the most reliable of sources, suggest that Arsenal and Liverpool are also following the new England international amid suggestions that he is not willing to extend his contract at the Midlands club.
Players playing international football need to be ideally playing European football and Delph is not going to achieve that. Having made the breakthrough into the England set-up he is looking to move to a club that can offer him greater opportunities to improve his game.
Villa are on a six game run of losses and with his contract ending in June he becomes a free agent who can arrange his next summer move in January. At 24 he has time for improvement which will be needed as for England he looks to have defensive frailties and does not always have the greatest touch.
