Schneiderlin happy at Southampton

Morgan Schneiderlin was at the centre of a transfer tussle during the summer and was very annoyed with the hierarchy for not allowing him the move they had promised.
He never had a problem with the club or the club supporters and felt he had to show them he was committed when the season began. Life would have been very awkward if he didn't embark on a PR exercise and win any doubters over.
He has acted like a true professional and put everything behind him to continue playing at the high level he did last season. With his help Southampton are flying high at the moment and had one of those games at the weekend thrashing Sunderland 8-0.
He has spoken to Canal+, a French cable TV station and told them he wasn't in the best frame of mind during the summer but is happy now.

"I'm thrilled to be at Southampton, people trust me and put me in the best frame of mind.
“I take pleasure playing for the club. In life, sometimes you need a change to progress. I was afraid to stay at Southampton after a host of players left the club, and after the World Cup, I had no desire.
“After all the transfer speculation I knew it would be hard, so I really wanted to make a very good start to prove that I was still fully committed to the club.”
