Mousa Demnele Performance Report
After two substitute appearances, Nabil Bentaleb arriving back late from international duty (Thursday) gave Mousa Dembele to opportunity to stake a claim to a starting berth, he took it.
This was one of the better Mousa Dembele performances, both attacking and defensively. He added some stability to the midfield, when Sunderland attacked he rushed back and made fine tackles.
All to often we see Dembele in the wrong areas of the field, we see him tacking men on in our half and slowing the game down, yesterday though he was taking men in around the box and looking to be creative, something previously we have not seen enough. He thunder shot crashing into the bar after 37 minutes shows he should be shooting more often, he should be scoring more often.

It was a game where you couldn't pick this ir that as being what made his performance good, it was just an all round game. He interchanged passes well, retained the ball as he always does, took defenders out the game easily.
