Keane's a Spurs fan

Didn't Robbie Keane leave us to go and join his boyhood heroes Liverpool this time last season?

I only ask as he's sounding a lot like us Spurs fans by claiming that we can make the Champions League this season, providing Harry makes a few signings of course.

When are we going to learn? If we can get into a top 6 position, I'll be happy; in fact, we should all be happy.

We don't have the cash City do so we'll need to build patiently.

Outbursts like "breaking into the top four has to be our aim" make us the laughing stock of the Premier League.

And ffs, if we beat Barcelona tonight, please curb your dreaming of us winning the league!

  3. Shouldn't we be aiming to win all of our home games, and most of our away games? (We may aim for a draw at Old Trafford or Anfield!) Therefore, we're aiming to win the league. No Spurs fan with half a brain thinks that this is possible, but we should always aim to win!

  5. 5.51 is absoluley right. What are Spurs and every other team jn the league supposed to do. Start the season not aiming for the best. What would be the point. So stop worrying about what any other fans might say.
  6. Spurs should aim to win every game, and aspirations should be high...but ffs I don't want our players to keep banging on to the media about how we'll break into the top 4...if Robbie thinks it can be done it's up to him and the rest of the lads to prove it!

  8. there is a difference between wanting to win every match and win the league and expecting it. spurs supporters often fail to grasp that.

    Aim for the top but have sensible ideas of where you would be happy finishing and a minimum of sixth would suit me fine (for this season anyway)!!
  10. Of course people should be realistic (if you offered me 7th and a place in Europe now, I'd snap your hand off for it!) But if the question asked was about what the team is aiming for, his response had to be top 4, or telling the guy that we'll take each game as it comes. He couldn't have said anything else if that was the question!

  12. F*&% I really, really wish the "Keane to Sunderland" rumors were true. He's no longer top 7 material. An absolute joke of a capttain. Constant whinning does not equal leadership. BTW, I do believe we have players that can take us to CL, just not enough of them to maake up a top 4 team.

I look about at Arsenal - getting weaker with a manager who needs a Fresh challenge, Liverpool - A team with no bottle and again a loony manager obsessed with europe, Man City - bunch of loonies who will never work!!! so why not aim high, we only need a couple of players a decent CB (and i mean decent not cover) and a midfielder with experiance to nerture our talent Viera fits the bill). look down our team sheet and if they play well and play as a team on our day we can do it. Stay positive lads my money is on Third...

A club like Spurs should be aiming for the top players and seem attractive to them, instead we get turned down by sh!te players!!! now we`re looking at Lofty and Viera!!!!??wtf???

  19. i am worried about redknapp , loves crouch(er why ) wants viera( er why )passed it , the days of "yeah we will finish 5th & maybe even grab a champions league spot with 4th " are long gone , we aint got that many good players when you really think about it JENAS ,KEANE ,BENT ,LENNON( when he can`t give a final ball, improve that great player)CORLUKA ,CHIMBONDA ,KING( always bloody injured)& don`t forget BENTLEY ,all these are overrated ,overpaid ,& overpriced tou can`t aim for top 5 with players like these , with the money we have spent we should be miles better than fulham ,everton, villa & even man city (who still aint got a great team themselves) but the truth is we haven`t ,signing players like hutelaar ,j cole,ashley young would wet my appetite & make me believe ,bit CROUCH & a passed it VIERA just doesn`t ,we can`t aim high with mediocre players we must wake up & stop humiliating ourselves season after season & accept with the many over…
