Which 3 players will sign?

So then, the end of season rumpus is once again on us and it looks as though our manager has started the merry go round all on his own.

He's said that he'll need approximately £30 million to spend on the 3 players he's identified to really push on our squad. But he'll also have to sell around 4 players.

Let's begin with the players that will be leaving. We believe that Darren Bent & Tom Huddlestone will be sold to Villa in a deal that will bring Gareth Barry to Spurs. But of course, this relies on whether Barry want to move to us in the first instance.

David Bentley will also be moved on, but I can't see which side in the Premier League will take him on?

We can see Alan Hutton being the forth player moved on by Harry. Rangers are making all the right noises in an attempt to get him back and now that they've won the league, the transfer fee shouldn't be to much of a problem, although forget us making a profit on him, or even recouping what we shelled out for him.

When it comes to the players Harry wants in, expect him to bust a gut in getting Glen Johnson & Peter Crouch.

If Hutton & Bent do depart, the above two are exactly what Harry will want.

If the Barry deal doesn't come off, and to be honest, we can't see it happening, then expect us to go for Muntari.

Yes we've all read that he's not interested in leaving Inter, but we also remember reading in July 2008 that a certain Roman Pavlyuchenko wanted to sign for a Champions League side only and wasn't at all interested in Tottenham Hotspur.

To sum up, we believe that Glen Johnson, Peter Crouch & Sulley Muntari or Gareth Barry are the players Harry Redknapp has in mind.

With Modric playing well on the left, and with Gareth Bale as another left wing option, we can't see Harry trying to fill in that spot.

  3. Ashley Young + Glen Johnson+Santa Cruz for 30 million. You're mad !!! these tree worth 15 million each ...

    Barry would be great but will cost around 20 millions, too much if we need three top class player for 30 millions. We will have one or two top class and one or two squad players ...

  5. Well Gareth Barry is in the final 13 months of his current Villa contract.

    O'Neil has expressed an interest in both Bent & Huddleston in the past and so that's why we mentioned it. A deal is there to be done I'm my opinion, although I just can't see Barry signing for us.

    Forget us getting Ashley Young. We had the opportunity to sign him for £9.75 million but Comolli & co thought him too expensive at the time.

    If Young is going to sign for anyone, it's going to be in excess of £20+ million.

    Santa Cruz deal to Arsenal is all but done according to some SCUM ITK's.

    if we're going to sign Johnson, then expect an announcement from the club in early June, or I can see him ending up at Liverpool.

    A lot of ITK's are saying that Crouch is also a done deal. We'll just have to wait and see.

  8. I would love to see Gareth Barry at the Lane, but I think it is unlikely he will come. If he leaves Villa this summer, then I think he will end up at Anfield.

    I think Crouch, Johnson (should Hutton leave) Downing and possibly Muntari are more realistic signings for us this summer - and I do feel that Crouch would do a good job for us - hopefully with Defoe as his strike partner.

    However, I am really hoping that we DO NOT sign Jones or Cisse from Sunderland. I feel that neither of these strikers have the quality to help us improve as a team and are certainly no better than what we already have.

    I'd certainly offload Bent, Bentley and Zokora which should hopefully bring in around £22-25 million.

    And I also hope we bring in an experienced left back such as Heinze.

Outs should be Bent, Huddlestone, Chimbonda, Bentley, Zokora....some of these can still do a job when needed but ideally we need rid off to get extra cash to bring in quality players......yes i said quality players! We do NOT need Crouch. He had his chance at The Lane and we dont need him no more. I reckon the signings we need are...

  12. Yeah because the guy Harry wants to build the team around (Modric) and the Club Captain (Keane) will happily sit on the bench..
    Barry would more likely move to Liverpool than us.
    Joe Cole wouldn't want to swap champions league football and Toni? Wtf? where did you get that one from??
  13. why do we need glen johnson i know he can play left or right back, but as assou ekotto has been superb this season, and corluka has suprised me i didnt think he was any good, we need another centre mid get rid of jenas he's crap and tommy ploddelstone (tackles like a girl), everyone is talking about barry love to see him in blue and white but why would he leave villa for us, but harry delboy redknapp will do the dealing, UP THE SPURS

I dont think G johnson will come to us over liverpool, G barry is in the same boat if liverpool go in for both, i really dont want to see Crouch or santa-cruz not spurs players at all and both would cost more than they are really worth, i have a feeling jj will swap for Muntari im not a big jj fan but we would miss him from the team, hud is just not good enough i love his passing and would love to see him shine but he has had his chances and i will say its players like him holding us back from the rest, we all love hud bale but they have let us down, i think bently will give us more next season now he is out of the lime light, he needs to just play football not give silly interviews, with players coming in we as spurs players know we dont get who the papers say so i see a few shocks this trans window. coys and loving the wembly cup now i have tickets bring on the barca
  15. 1)We nedd a new strong target om the top, Pav&Bent is not good enough.
    2)We need a strong working guy on the midfield that can pass and score.
    3)King isn´t getting better, his knee need rest and we need a guy who can take over(not Daws).

    Hopefully no overrated & overpaid english players!

  16. lets face it,we went in all guns blazing for downing in january,and now boro are relegated we will sign downing on the cheap (around 4-6 mill).thats 100% going through,harry will ask downing to prove his fitness first and he will be signed before august.FACT.

    that will mean,that in home games harry will look at modric-palacios in the middle.but for away games he will change it and prob use another palacios type player in the middle and shift modric out wide.muntari has played there for harry before and has been linked,so possibly a swap deal with jenas is gonna go through as we cant afford to buy him outright.

    right back-we got corluka who is really good defensivly and we have hutton who is really good going forward,we have gunter who is young but talented and we have chimbonda who we all know about.AND were still linked with johnson!! were not gonna get johnson,harry knows we have enough players for that position and is concentrating on the positions that need attention.

  17. Has everyone forgotten how good Hutton really is, there is absolutely no need to waste our money on Johnson. In my opinion we should keep our strikers and add a ;left winger, maybe McGeady, and a CB like Bassong (would be easy to get from a championship side), all he would be is back up for Dawson.
  18. I believe that we need a strong utility defender, a left-mid and a world class striker. I think that Modric should be played just behind the strikers to give him a licence to roam, but although Defoe is a wonderful player, i'm not sure he'd work up front on his own, he's just too small. A centre-mid would be nice, but i think that Huddlestone is a class act, and that we should give him more playing time. Keane has been awful since we bought him back (bar the boro game), i think we should offload him while we still can. Also, I hate to say it, but King is past it, and i can't bear to watch him hurt himself any longer - he should retire. We should keep on to Giovani, he is a wonderful talent, and could be the next Ronaldinho. Keep on to Bent for backup as well.

  20. why on earth do we want glen johnson?? nothing against him but we have hutton, corluka, chimbonda and gunther.... even if we were to lose one of those, why why do we need so many right backs, possibly the least most important position
