Will ENIC Buy Up All The Stock In Tottenham Hotspur?

As reported today, Sir Alan Sugar has sold his shares to ENIC, the company run by our chairman, Daniel Levy, and financed by his uncle, Joseph Lewis.


Mr. Lewis is the billionaire that has bankrolled ENIC to success. Some financial analysts have even stated that Lewis has added a great deal into the Tottenham Hotspur account to.


With ENIC buying such a large bulk of the club, do you think that we may be completely owned by them in the near future? After all, the Glazer's purchased all the stock at Manchester United.


Many fans were against it at the time, but the future is looking anything but bleak for the Premiership champions.


We feel that the recent purchase of Sugar's shares into the ENIC portfolio has cancelled any talk about Tottenham Hotspur being purchased by a foreign entity.

  2. Well maybe ENIc have purchased the shares in a view to make a tidy sale to any potential consortium looking to buy? I hope not.

  4. Reading the statement this looks like it was part of the original agreement and hasn't been done because a potential deal is on the cards.

  9. Maybe levy and enic are unhappy with sugar buying up all the property around whl stadium, so wanted to severe all ties with the club?

  11. Maybe it is to prevent a hostile takeover.Which the american Kroenke try to do so to the gooners recently after Dein was fired.
    With 66% of the shares in ENIC hands they have absolute control.
    Levy might felt that at 200mil, Spurs is undervalued.
    With fortunes of the club progressing in footballing terms and a new stadium a real prospect ,upward potential of the club is high.
    It's a smart move.Maintain absolute control while at the same time engage the market to raise more fund for more investment

  12. Said on sky sports news that ENIC have to make an offer for the remaining shares because of stock market rules...
  13. Under the terms of the city code they have to offer cash for all of the issued and to be issued share capital of Tottenham which is not already owned by Enic International. But Enic have said they will not go private.

  17. ALL shareholders were informed, in January, that ENIC International were in the process of purchasing THFC Plc shares and they even offered no cost for the share dealings.

    We (shareholders) were also all informed, in January, that they were applying for a Waiver Resolution for Rule 9.

    Alan Sugar selling his shareholdings is news but hardly unexpected - the question asked by the author of the main article has not only been answered by the Club but it was done back in January!!!!

    90% of the nonsense posts made by so called THFC supporters would stop IF they knew how the Club was operating and how it did its business and what its strategic plans were for the future - surely it is not that difficult is it???? Especially as ALL the relevant information is always posted on the official THFC website.

  22. What ENIC are really saying is that they HAVE TO make an offer to all remaining holders at the same price they paid to AMS but are HOPING that shareholders will not accept. If remaining shareholders do accept and ENIC ends up having a very high % then ENIC will be forced to buy ALL remaining shareholders and remaining shareholders will HAVE TO sell, in which case the company is no longer on AIM, ie goes private
