Spurs scouting, Belgian clubs and Divock Origi




The Mail Online report that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a a number of clubs monitoring 18-year-old Maidstone United forward prospect Jack Richards.

Maidstone, now a National League side (fifth tier of English football) are the Kent club who produced Manchester United and England centre-back Chris Smalling, who used to open the bowling for me when I could get him to play cricket.

Two Belgian clubs have sold players they bought earlier in the transfer window. The agents must be laughing all the way to the bank!


The newspapers linked us with 22-year-old (23 next April) Belgium and Liverpool striker Divock Origi briefly. He is now heading off on loan to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg so ending that speculation. With Vincent Janssen looking to move on for regular football, plenty of names are being put forward. How many are genuine is another matter.
