This possible XI must embrace the Europa League

Once again the great guessing game commences, how will we deploy the troops for the upcoming UEFA Europa League tie at White Hart Lane with a Premier League fixture against an improving Crystal Palace on TV on Sunday. I would suggest the need to win that one to start some momentum so even at this early stage not wearing out the players is important.
The beauty of the UEFA Europa League is that there are plenty of games so players are getting a chance, it's better than sitting on a bench week-in-wee-out waiting for a chance, if you make it into the match day squad. That tests you desire and any hint of a what's the point attitude will see performances drop and a downward spiral ensue.
Squad players come to the fore midweek, we seemed to have two separate teams or a mix last season so perhaps it will go thr same way and a virtual second team will go out, but who are the second team? We have injuries to cloud the issue at the moment which we didn't have to cope with many last season.
Mauricio gave an injury update after training on Wednesday.
“Christian is progressing well, but not available yet. Mousa is out too and we hope Ryan isn’t too long in his recovery, we need to assess him day by day.
“Nabil is out maybe two weeks more. We need to assess him as well, have patience and it’s the same with Ryan.”

We need to get off to a good start, but that is tempered by needing to keep players fresh for the weekend, we have enough injuries now without risking getting any more so I would trust the youth in th opener and give as many players a rest as possible.
Vorm
Trippier Fazio Wimmer Rose
Dier Carroll
Townsend Lamela Pritchard
Njie
Subs: Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Winks, Onomah, Heung-min, Lloris, Kane
Alderweireld would cover right-back, centre-back ans defensive midfield, Vertonghem would cover centre-back and left-back, Winks, Onomah and Heung-min cover the attacking three with Kane covering the striker role in an emergency.
I'd want at some stage to be able to play Winks and Onomah with either Dier or Rose coming off (dependent upon fitness after a tight hamstring) meaning the last 20 minutes for Alderweireld or Vertonghen. Alternatively leave Vertonghem off the bench and replace him with Davies.
