Çalhanoğlu won't be joining Spurs any time soon

Owen Hargreaves is that rare breed of Englishman, one that played abroad, now he is a BT pundit and well placed to comment on Bundesliga players adapting to the Premier League, thanks to his time out there.

When he says a player is suited or can adapt, he knows more than most with the first-hand knowledge to call upon that others don;t have. Hargreaves feels 21-year-old (22 next February) Turkish-German footballer Hakan Çalhanoğlu could be a good fit alongside Eriksen at Spurs.

“Calhanoglu is the star he is the feature of this team if you think about Liverpool or Tottenham he would be perfect in those teams, if you take Tottenham he would be great alongside Eriksen."

Liverpool are the side reported to be interested in signing him, where Liverpool are Tottenham are never very far away. Çalhanoğlu is the man disappointed that Son Heung-min has left his club Bayer Leverkusen to join Tottenham suggesting his teammate had been ill-advised. Guess he won't be joining us any time soon then.
