Predicted Tottenham Line-up

We will all have our choices for who should play but when making our choices we have to remember that some players have played twice during the international break and that we have a UEFA Europa League tie coming up away against Serbian side Partizan Belgrade.

Predicted Tottenham Line-up

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris has to start in goal and could perhaps captain the side with Michel Vorm on the bench and playing on Thursday.

Right-back: Eric Dier has done well at right-back and it was a close call between him and Kyle Naughton but with the UEFA Europa League tie Naughton's experience may be of more use in Serbia.

Left-back: Danny Rose hasn't really done anything wrong to cost him his place and since he was on loan at Sunderland he will be keen to do well so he retains his place and Ben Davies plays Thursday.

Centre-back: Federico Fazio gets the nod over Younes Kaboul with the Frenchman looking out of sorts still so again his experience will be useful in Serbia. Fazio is surely going to be a first choice right side central defender so the sooner he starts the better.

Centre-back: Jan Vertonghen picks himself and he can also be rested on Thursday letting Vlad Chiriches play.

Defensive Midfield: Etienne Capoue has been first choice all season and in pre-season so he'll remain as the cornerstone of the midfield.

Defensive Midfield: Nabil Bentaleb arrived back from international duty so may not be risked and play on Thursday instead alongside new signing Benjamin Stambouli. The gives an opportunity for Mousa Dembele to stake a claim or Paulinho who was not involved in the international break so is fresh. I'll side with the Belgian Dembele.

Right Attacking Midfield: Christian Eriksen swaps with Erik Lamela a lot but starts on the right for Spurs and doesn't really have any competition. Andrs Townsend will presumably take over on Thursday.

Central Attacking Midfield: Again there is little competition with Eriksen already in the team, so the spot naturally goes to the rejuvenated Argentinian Erik Lamela. Paulinho to take over the role for the

Left Attacking Midfield: Nacer Chadli has made the spot his own with his performance against QPR and it makes sense for these three to build a partnership together. Aaron Lennon can play on Thursday.

Forward: With Roberto Soldado still injured Emmanuel Adebayor will remain in attack with Harry Kane starting on Thursday if Soldado is not fit.
